Focusing on Creating More Livable Streets
The Old Bend Neighborhood is nestled at the center of the City of Bend and enjoys excellent walkability while being at the nexus of city transportation connectivity issues. Many of our neighbors and board members are keenly interested in transportation planning issues that affect the livability of our streets. We connect with the City to learn what we can do to contribute to improving our neighborhood street safety. We are concerned with increasing traffic volumes and were pleased at the successful completion of the Sisemore sidewalk and the Wall Street Crosswalk projects. These were funded by the City of Bend’s Neighborhood Street Safety Program, which has continued allotments for future improvements. Please connect with us if you have interest in contributing or commenting on street safety issues.

In 2021, Old Bend Neighborhood Association formed a Traffic Team with the purposes of offering better management of growing motor vehicle traffic in and around Old Bend; and advocating better for multi-modal solutions with residents and businesses, transportation providers, City Council, adjacent neighborhoods, media, and other interested parties.
